The non-profit organization Iowa Rivers Revival is hosting an event on Monday, February 3rd to convene river supporters and legislators from around the state. This will be a great opportunity to meet other river enthusiasts and share ideas for river protection and restoration.
Here is the invitation:
You are invited to attend IRR’s Legislative Reception on Monday, February 3rd from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Noodle Zoo Cafe on E 6th and Locust in Des Moines. Last year’s reception was a huge SUCCESS with over a hundred people attending, and forty-nine of those guests were a bi-partisan representation of Iowa legislators.
This reception is a fun way to connect with your legislators and other river advocates about river issues in a casual environment. Light appetizers and beverages are provided at no cost. Come learn more about river issues and share with us your local projects and interests that impact Iowa’s rivers and streams. Please RSVP.
With over 70,000 miles of rivers and streams in this state, nearly every legislator in Iowa is connected to one or many of these important resources. We hope you can attend and invite your lawmakers to join us whether you can attend or not. Drop them a quick note and encourage them to attend.
